Several families are homeless Friday after a fire broke out in a Bushwick apartment building.
More than 100 firefighters battled the flames at 242 Irving Ave. Officials say the flames started in the walls of the first floor and spread to the fourth floor.
The eight apartments in the building were damaged, and residents won't be able to move back in any time soon. The Red Cross is helping those displaced by the fire.
