Sewanhaka High School students design high altitude weather balloon

NASA's Flight Opportunities Program and Future Engineers hosted a virtual event, showing 57 winning teams from across the nation, including one on Long Island.

NASA's Flight Opportunities Program and Future Engineers hosted a virtual event, showing 57 winning teams from across the nation, including one on Long Island.
Students from Sewanhaka High School in Floral Park designed a high altitude weather balloon, that they will be testing at Harvard University.
Since January, the teams have worked to develop, design, and build their high-altitude balloon experiment, in preparation for flight.
