Hundreds got their holiday shopping done Thursday evening before their turkey even had time to digest.
Some shoppers at Kings Plaza said they arrived at the mall at 4 p.m., two hours before it opened.
While Best Buy opened at 5 p.m. and the other stores opened at 6 p.m., a handful stayed closed in observation of corporate policy.
One family said they were saving their Thanksgiving dinner till after went Black Friday shopping. People said arriving at stores on Thanksgiving Day is strategic and that they wanted to avoid the larger crowds that on Black Friday.
The mall was open until midnight Thursday and reopens Friday at 6 a.m.
