"The Rise of Sneaker Culture" exhibit is set to open to the public Friday at the Brooklyn Museum of Art.
The exhibit highlights the journey of sneakers over the years, from early work shoes to the latest Air Jordans. The goal is to impart upon viewers the impact sneakers have had on American culture and self-expression.
There are more than 250 shoes at the exhibit, with a design to represent all kinds of personalities.
"The Rise of Sneaker Culture" will be on display at the museum until Oct. 4.
