Another day of soaking rains left the roads wet and slippery for Wednesday's evening commute.
The conditions also caused drivers to go deliberately slow along major arteries like the Belt Parkway as well as local roads.
On the bright side, weather was unseasonably warm, and the rain let up later in the evening.
News 12 meteorologists said the rain would continue overnight with a chance of thunderstorms and lows in the mid-50s.
Thursday, the skies will be partially cloudy with highs near 60 and a strong breeze.
