An influential Brooklyn soccer coach who died tragically this summer is being memorialized on a Brooklyn field.
Magnus Mukoro grew up in West Africa but made Brooklyn his home during his teens. He co-founded Young Rock Soccer Academy in 2001 and was a champion for young soccer players in the area.
Mukoro passed away after a drowning accident in August.
Friends and family mounted a plaque in his memory on the Brooklyn Technical High School athletic field in Fort Greene.
