Lynette Miller has been asking her Soundview building's management to change her parking spot to help her with her disability.
Her right leg was amputated three years ago. She says management has not accepted her plea for a parking spot in the front of the building.
"Why should I have to go through that? And there’s a spot in the front," Miller said.
The cost of Miller's parking spot was capped at $18 after living in the building since 2004. She said management told her it would cost more than $200 to move to a new spot.
She's even gone to desperate measures by purchasing an additional parking spot in the front, but after six months, she can't afford it anymore.
Other neighbors have stepped in to help Miller by contacting elected officials, but they also say nothing has changed.
"I feel like all of her concerns are falling on deaf ears, what she's asking for is not unreasonable,” one neighbor said.
Miller is not giving up and hopes management will listen to her plea for a better parking spot at rate she can afford.
"I'm grateful to be able to go down to my car and still drive my car. I'm grateful for that. I just want it a little easier for me," said
The Bronx borough president's team told News 12 they are in contact with Miller. News 12 reached out to the building's management and are awaiting a response.
