Police were investigating a possible hazmat situation in Sheepshead Bay Tuesday after a person was found dead in Staten Island. 

Sources say the person who was found dead was suspected of using chemicals. 

According to sources, the Sheepshead Bay address on East 12th Street was connected to the person who was found dead so investigators were on the scene to make sure there were no chemicals at the location.

Sources say nothing was found at the location. East 12th Street was shut down during the investigation but has since been reopened.
