Have you been seeing purple lately?
Volunteers have been fanning out across Southwestern Connecticut to place purple ribbons on trees, lights and storefronts in Fairfield County.
It's all to drum up support for the six different "Walk to End Alzheimer's" events being held this fall.
Money raised from the walks will be going towards classes, support groups and critical research for new treatments and, maybe someday, a cure.
Volunteers say they hope people will become more aware of the signs of Alzheimer's, and that there are resources people can use if they need help.
