Students applying to specialty high schools got firsthand information Saturday at the city?s biggest education fair in Fort Greene.
The auditorium of Brooklyn Technical High School was packed with eighth and seventh grade students who were eager to learn about the admission process. Students who attended the fair last year helped to advise participants. Aspiring architect Joseph Stargell says he attended because it?s time for him to get serious about his career goal.
The Department of Education (DOE) hosted the event, which ends at 3 p.m. Sunday. The DOE will also host fairs in each borough on October 21 and October 22.
