A suspected scammer looking to cash out was caught red handed after a Throgs Neck supermarket owner says surveillance footage exposed an apparent fake fall.

Surveillance footage shows one person spilling water on the floor before another person returns moments later. You can see him observe a couple in the same aisle as he walks up to grab bottled water from the shelf--that's when he appears to fall on the floor.

The store owner did not want to share his name but says a scam like this could negatively affect business. He says the lawyer who was handling the lawsuit has dropped the case, but he fears the suspected scammer could strike again.
