It's a mild and cloudy Saturday, with a light afternoon shower. Temperatures tumble tonight, we'll need the winter jacket on Sunday.

The weekend starts off mild, but we are tracking a cold front that will pass through this evening and drop temperatures for Sunday. Then a storm passes through on Monday morning. It's a busy weather pattern for the last week of March, which means the weather will be changing nearly every day. Here's what you need to know:
WHAT TO KNOW
  • Mostly cloudy and breezy this afternoon with a stray shower
  • Cold on Sunday
  • Messy Monday morning, better in the evening
  • Another shower Wednesday morning
This Weekend
It's a quiet start with increasing clouds this morning and mild temperatures by the afternoon. A few spots could hit 60, but it will feel chilly with cloudy skies and wind speeds increasing to 20 mph. A stray shower is possible between 2 and 7 p.m., but any showers will be brief.
Overnight clear skies return, and temperatures quickly drop to near 30. Sunday morning will be clear and frosty. Despite mostly sunny skies in the morning, temperatures on Sunday afternoon will stay in the mid to upper 40s.
The next storm
Monday morning looks messy. Steady showers are expected with breezy conditions. Rain totals will likely be under 1 inch so flooding is not expected, however wet roads and low visibility will create slowdowns for the morning commute.
It's dry Monday evening and Tuesday, but a chance for rain returns on Wednesday morning. The upcoming work week will be seasonable with morning temperatures in the 30s and afternoon high temperatures in the 50s.
A peek at April?
Model guidance is having a difficult time handling the weather pattern in April. The GFS Model is trending cold with wintry conditions, whereas the EURO model has consistently shown our warmest weather this time of the year. It's several days out, but this is a reminder not to invest too much in forecasts beyond a few days out this time of the year because spring weather is the most difficult to forecast.
