Parts of New Jersey were left drenched and without power Monday evening as powerful thunderstorms moved through the state.
But as the storms move away from New Jersey, Storm Watch Team meteorologists are tracking some snow that is expected to arrive by Wednesday.
Meteorologist Dave Curren says that while Monday saw record-breaking temperatures in the mid-70s, Wednesday will see snow and temperatures in the 40s.
Tuesday will see mostly sunny skies with highs around 50 degrees. Clouds will develop throughout the evening and nighttime hours. Overnight lows will cool into the low-40s.
A little bit of snow is expected on Wednesday. Curren says that a coating of snow is possible on colder surfaces. Streets and walkways should not see much, if any accumulation. Surfaces will just be wet. Daytime highs will be in the low-40s. Overnight lows are expected to be in the low-30s.
Curren says that temperatures are expected to remain in the upper-40s and low-50s for the rest of the week under mostly cloudy skies.
