Health Dept. shuts down another school over measles violations

The Health Department has shut down another school for violating the commissioner's order during the measles outbreak.
The department says Simche Kinder has repeatedly failed to comply with an order requiring yeshivas and child care programs to exclude unvaccinated children and provide medical records to authorities.
The number of measles cases in New York City is now up to 466 since the outbreak began in October.
Simche Kinder will not be allowed to reopen until staff shows the Health Department they can comply with the order.
The Health Department is now working with parents to find alternative care for the children who attended the program.
