Police: Pennsylvania man charged for setting rabbi's home ablaze
A man has been arrested for allegedly setting fire to a home belonging to a rabbi in Midwood.
The NYPD confirmed they have arrested 41-year-old Matthew Karelefsky, of Pennsylvania.
Surveillance video from when the fire started Thursday morning showed someone running away from the scene.
Investigators say Karelefsky has a tattoo on his body which reads: "Never let go of hatred, kill Rabbi Max."
Karelefsky faces attempted murder and arson charges.
Twelve people were taken to the hospital, including a 6-week-old baby. They all are expected to be OK.
