The Straphangers Campaign has released its 16th annual "State of the Subways" report.
The watchdog group named the No. 2 train, which travels to parts of the borough, as the worst in the city.
The report is based on an extensive review of official transit data from 2013, including high frequency of service, minimal delays, seat availability and cleanliness, among other factors.
According to the statistics, train car breakdowns on the No. 2 train are up 11 percent from 2011 to 2013.
The MTA released a statement in part, "The Straphangers Campaign report doesn't offer any information that isn't already available on the MTA's website." A spokesperson added that the agency is constantly monitoring and working to improve safety.
Some other trains did get some high scores. The C, J and Z trains are the cleanest, and riders are most likely to get a seat on an R train.
The No. 7 train was ranked the best.
