Cobble Hill's second annual College March saw students take the 15-minute walk from the Brooklyn School of Collaborative Studies to the local post office to put their applications in the mail.
Many of the participants will be the first in their family to go on to higher education. School officials say more than 90 percent of their students go on to graduate.
The students are eyeing many SUNY and CUNY colleges, as well as some private schools.
Many said that studying outside the city will help them broaden their horizons.
