Students from P.S. 93 showed off their pearly whites and bright smiles in Crown Heights after receiving free dental screenings Thursday.
The tests were done at the new state-of-the-art dental center inside Interfaith Medical Center.
The center will serve children and adults.
Interfaith Medical Center says it's proud of its new center because all the new technology in dentistry will serve the community, including the new room for surgery.
"We can avoid going to the hospital operating room and do everything right here," says chairman David Miller.
The new project started in January, but it opens officially to the public July 1.
One of Interfaith Medical Center's goals is to educate the surrounding communities about the importance of dental hygiene.
Since some families don't have insurance, there will be a sliding fee at the center to make dental care affordable.
