Students at Erasmus Hall High School returned to class today after a student was arrested for allegedly stabbing a fellow classmate with scissors. Police say a 16-year-old student stabbed 15-year-old Alfredo Allen in the head after the two got into an argument in the gymnasium. Witnesses say the boys were playing basketball when the suspect left the gym, returned with the scissors and started attacking. Police and school security patrolled outside the building as students arrived for the day, and some parents say they hope the stabbing is an isolated incident. Allen was rushed to Kings County Hospital, where he underwent surgery. Hospital officials say the wounds are non-life threatening. The alleged attacker has since been charged with assault with a deadly weapon.Erasmus Hall student remains hospitalized after school stabbing
