Some Brooklyn students are keeping the legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. alive by writing speeches inspired by the civil rights icon.

In celebration of Martin Luther King Day, fifth-graders at the New American Academy Charter School in Brownsville penned speeches inspired by King’s famous "I Have a Dream" address.

During last year’s event, the students selected parts of speech and represented them in colorful drawings.
