A consumer protection agency is advising Brooklyn commuters to be extra careful on the road during the July Fourth holiday weekend.
Research conducted by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety says that from 2002 to 2007, the highest number of crash deaths happened on July 3 and the Fourth of July.
The study says that most of the crashes occurred in the evening and involved alcohol.
