A Bloomberg study found that the “mass exodus” of people leaving Manhattan for other states were really heading over the bridge to Brooklyn.
The report found that 79% of people who moved out of New York didn’t even leave the central Metropolitan area.
Places like Long Island, Westchester and Connecticut were also top choices.
The report says 19,000 Manhattan residents reported moving to Florida, but just about half of them said that was only temporary.
Compared to that, the study says 20,000 people reportedly relocated from Manhattan to Brooklyn.
