Older Brooklyn residents are relieved as newly renovated affordable housing apartments from Stuypark Housing have come to Crown Heights.
Constance Tillet, a member of the Stuypark House Board of Directors, says the moment is "so overwhelming" because it has been in the works for a long time.
The newly renovated property will house over 104 seniors and serve as a safe haven for the elderly to live and stay in Brooklyn.
The community says the goal is to keep the building affordable for the next 30 years despite rapid hikes in rent going on around the neighborhood.
