A town hall forum was held at Borough Hall today that promoted prevention and education regarding drug and alcohol abuse among young people.
Some of the speakers shared stories of what it was like growing up with family members who were addicted to drugs.
The goal of the forum was to offer advice for the youth on how to deal with issues that lead to substance abuse, as well as overcome addiction.
The event was put together by the Brooklyn nonprofit Bridging Access to Care.
