Here’s what you need to know:
- An Air Quality Alert is in effect from 11 a.m. through 11 p.m. AQI values can reach over 100 for ground level ozone. People in sensitive groups with respiratory issues, asthma and even allergies should reduce strenuous outdoor activity through this evening.
- It's mild, calm and hazy this morning. Temperatures are in the low to mid 60s.
- Today will be another sunny and warm day with low humidity. Highs will be in the low to mid 80s away from the coast.
- Wildfire smoke from Canada will continue to bring some haze to our area through tomorrow.
- A few pop-up storms will stay North of the city tomorrow as high heat and humidity builds in our area. Temperatures are forecasted to range from near 90 degrees inland to the 70s at the coast.
- A cold front will approach our area on Friday and pass through the city on Saturday. A few storms are possible Friday night. There's a better chance of seeing storms Saturday afternoon. As of now, it doesn't look like a washout. Sunday will be drier, breezy and warmer for the Puerto Rican Day Parade. Stay tuned for updates!
