Sunset Park hosted the Puerto Rican Day Parade Sunday.
The parade made its way down Fifth Avenue, and featured dozens of classic cars and motorcycles, along with live music and excited marchers.
Organizers say they have been having parades that were not sanctioned by the city for years now. They say that there has always been some tension with police over it.
This year, the city granted them a permit to hold the parade in Sunset Park.
Organizers say after the success of this parade, they are hoping the city gives them permission to hold it again next year.
