SUNY Maritime students set sail of training mission

Hundreds of SUNY Maritime cadets set sail today as part of a three-month training session. The ship will head north to Iceland, south to Virginia and then across the Atlantic to Spain and Great Britain.

Hundreds of SUNY Maritime cadets set sail today as part of a three-month training session. The ship will head north to Iceland, south to Virginia and then across the Atlantic to Spain and Great Britain. The students, many of whom are striving for their Coast Guard license, will learn how to skipper the ship by themselves.
