The reward for details in the death of 87-year-old Anna Surman climbed to $12,000 Wednesday as the shooter remains at-large.
Surman was struck in the neck by a stray bullet Sunday as she fed cats near the Surfside Gardens housing development. Police Commissioner Ray Kelly says he believes authorities know who was targeted, but don't have any suspects.
Residents are remaining tight-lipped over what happened, but police hope the upped reward will persuade someone to step forward with details on the homicide.
Anyone with information is asked to call 1-800-577-TIPS.
