One of the two suspects linked to the violent deaths of two Bronx adults was arraigned in court Thursday.
Back in May of 2022, News 12 reported on the deaths of two Manhattan friends who were found in a burning car. After police were searching for the suspects for almost a year, 30-year-old Jahmeel Sanders was arrested.
Sanders now faces multiple murder counts, manslaughter, arson, and kidnapping. He was also charged with robbery, grand larceny, criminal use of a firearm and criminal possession of a weapon.
The two victims are 22-year-olds Jessie Parrilla and Nikki Huang. They were found on the side of Shore Road in a burning car, not far from Split Rock Golf course in the Bronx.
It was later discovered that the two had been shot in the head, put into the car, then the car was set on fire.
Officers are still looking for one other person, Steven Santiago, 34, in connection the incident.
Sanders is due back in court on June 21.
