The five men charged in the murder of NYPD Detective Peter Figoski pleaded not guilty today. The alleged shooter, Lamont Pride, has been charged with first-degree murder. Kevin Santos, Ariel Tejada, Nelson Morales and Michael Velez have been charged with second-degree murder and criminal possession of a weapon. According to the indictment, Lamont Pride fired the single shot that killed Figoski during an apartment robbery in Cypress Hills on Dec. 12. The other men allegedly participated in the robbery.
