Girls flag football has made its way into the PSAL, giving Brooklyn athletes a chance to play a sport typically offered to just boys.
At Teachers Preparatory High School, coach Ernest Jackson is making sure his team understands the fundamentals of the sport. The skill set is the same as in boys football, but players will be pulling a flag instead of tackling.
The girls will play their first-ever game against Tilden April 23.
