The teen accused of shooting and killing a 92-year-old Bronx woman appeared in court Wednesday.
Jamal Blair, 18, has been charged with second-degree murder after a gunshot he allegedly fired fatally struck Sadie Mitchell while she was watching TV in her home.
Angelo MacDonald, Blair's attorney, says there are conflicting reports about the incident. Prosecutors claim Blair confessed to firing a .22-caliber gun, but MacDonald says it has not yet been determined if the bullet that killed Mitchell was from that type of firearm.
Blair is being held at Rikers Island. He will be arraigned Nov. 13 and his attorney says he will plead not guilty.
