A Brooklyn teen was charged in the killing of a man who confronted thieves over a baseball hat they allegedly stole from his son.
The Daily News reports that 16-year-old Adonis Barnett was arrested Wednesday in the slaying of 38-year-old Gerald Cummings Jr. outside a school in Flatbush on Aug. 3.
Police reports say Cummings defended his son after bullies took his limited edition baseball cap.
Police were able to track Barnett down because of his street name, Don Spice.
Cummings was laid to rest on Aug. 13.
