A 17-year-old boy will not be charged in connection with the stabbing death of his mother's boyfriend that took place in East Flatbush Saturday.
Authorities say the victim actually attacked the suspect with a hammer, and the teen acted in self-defense. Police say they found 41-year-old Willie "Ted" Telenaque bleeding at 218 E. 89th St. around 9:15 p.m. Telenaque was transported to Brookdale Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The teen was also taken to the hospital with cuts and injuries, according to authorities.
Neighbors say they are in shock over the incident. They remember the victim as a nice, quiet man with a contagious laugh. They say they were unaware of problems in the home.
