Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying three people connected with a Jan. 4 stabbing in Brownsville.

Authorities say the trio approached a 17-year-old boy at the Livonia Avenue subway station and attempted to forcibly remove his sweatshirt.

They began to punch him when he resisted. One of the suspects also stabbed him in the leg before the group fled the scene on foot.

The victim was hospitalized and is expected to recover, according to authorities.

Police describe the suspects as males between the ages of 14 to 18.
