The Bronx Community College's baseball team, the Broncos, won the 2026 CUNY Baseball Championship on Monday.

The team defeated the Queensborough Community College Tigers in the sixth inning, winning by mercy rule, by a score of 12-2.

This is the second year in a row the team has won the championship, defying all odds according to their head coach Adolfo DeJesus.

"We lost a right fielder, our center field also got injured, but we came a long way," DeJesus said.

This season marked BCC's 14th CUNY title under DeJesus. He has been coaching at the school for over 40 years.

"I'm happy for the kids and so I'm very happy for the Bronx Community College," DeJesus said.
