News 12’s Elizabeth Hashagen was joined by Dr. John Zaso, an experienced medical director and pediatrician, to discuss three highly contagious respiratory viruses taking hold across the tri-state.
Hospitals across the country are struggling to keep up with the rise in RSV, flu, and COVID-19 cases, as well as dealing with medication shortages.
Zaso says vaccines are still your best bet at staying safe from both COVID-19 and the flu.
Why is it so hard to get children's Tylenol and Motrin right now, and what should parents do if they can't find the medication they need on store shelves?
Zaso says there are a few key differences between flu, COVID and RSV.
How do you know if your child has the flu or a cold, and when can they go back to school after getting sick?
Zaso shares his main takeaways on how you and your family can protect yourselves and heal from these conditions.
