If you didn't catch a good deal on Black Friday, power up your computer because today is Cyber Monday, and retailers are hoping to lure you in with deep discounts.
News 12's consumer reporter Janice Lieberman has some shopping strategies.
Make a list and a set a budget.
Know where you want to shop.
Tech items and smart home devices, TVs and older gaming consoles will be items to shop for on Cyber Monday.
Try adding items you want to purchase to your cart and leave the retailer's site.
Sometimes, when you abandon your cart, retailers may send you an email with a coupon for extra savings to earn your business, and get you to come back and purchase the item.
Use price trackers and browser extensions. Camel Camel Camel will help you track the prices of items sold on Amazon.
Capital One Shopping will let you know what site is selling the item you want at the lowest price.
If you're spending money, look for ways to earn cash back.
Websites like Rakuten let you shop and earn a percentage of what you spend back in the form of a check.
Use a credit card that will earn you points or cash back.
Looking for a gift card? Shop Giftcardwiki.com or warehouse stores like Costco and BJ's, where you can purchase gift cards below face value with some as much as 20% off.
If you still like to shop in person, so you can touch it, feel it, many deals will be offered in-store.
