Thousands marched across the Brooklyn Bridge on this Good Friday to commemorate the same one Jesus took through the streets of Jerusalem on his way to crucifixion.
Cardinal Timothy Dolan and Brooklyn Bishop Nicholas Demarzio joined the marchers in their act of devotion.
This is the 10th year of the procession across the bridge. It started on the Good Friday after 9/11.
The day began with a service at the Cathedral Basilica of Saint James Basilica on Jay Street. The march finished up at ground zero in lower Manhattan.
