Thousands took part in the Way of the Cross walk across the Brooklyn Bridge Good Friday morning.

Christians began their procession at St. James Cathedral Basilica for a prayer. They then walked across the bridge in silence, stopping only a few times for a song and prayer. The procession ended in downtown Manhattan.

Those who took part in the annual procession say they do it to remember the suffering and death of Jesus Christ.
