Bed-Stuy unveils Notorious B.I.G. mosaic on 26th anniversary of his death
A Biggie Smalls mosaic was unveiled in Bed-Stuy Thursday, marking 26 years since the death of the famous rapper.
Notorious B.I.G, one of the most iconic artists in the rap genre, was born and raised in Bed-Stuy. He was only 24 years old when he was shot and killed while sitting in a car at a stoplight after leaving a party on March 9, 1997, in Los Angeles.
Smalls' family was in attendance along with Mayor Eric Adams, who highlighted the importance of stopping shootings in the city.
