Tree falls on East Flatbush home, expected to stay there until the end of week

The tree caused visible damage to the exterior of the home, partially collapsing the sunroof and blocking the entrance of the home.

A tree came crashing down into a home in East Flatbush due to the high winds in Brooklyn on Monday night.
The Carrington family who lives in the home where the tree fell say they were all at home when the incident happened, and that they're in distress.
"Sometimes there's a dry limb and then it falls on somebody's car or falls in the street," said homeowner Claudette Carrington. "It's not fair to us that are paying taxes... do what we're supposed to do to keep the neighborhood clean... they're not backing us with whatever we're doing."

The homeowners tell News 12 they called 311 and were told that the tree will remain in that spot for the next five days.
