It was beginning to look a lot like Christmas in Yonkers Saturday as the annual tree lighting ceremony kicked off at the Cross County Shopping Center.
Thousands of people headed to the shopping center to enjoy the official start of the Christmas season.
The Cross County Shopping Center's Michael Pollack said the 40-foot tree at the center stage of the ceremony contains 20,000 LED lights.
There was something for everyone, including a personal appearance by the Grinch, an ice-skating rink, fun train rides and more.
News 12's Carol Wilkinson captured the sight and sounds of the event and spoke to revelers at the ceremony.
