The man accused of a bias attack in Brownsville is set to stand trial Monday.
Steven Pomie was arrested for the assault of a 27-year-old man last June. Police say they found Pomie in Seaside Heights, New Jersey after he fled from Brooklyn. Pomie is charged with six counts of assault including assault as a hate crime.
The trial is at Brooklyn Supreme Court. If convicted, Pomie faces 25 years to life in prison.
