The Brooklyn Borough President's Office is holding a turkey drive to make sure those hit hard by Sandy can still have a traditional meal this Thursday.
Several organizations donated hundreds of turkeys, tons of apples and potatoes and other traditional Thanksgiving food.
Volunteers were on hand today to hand out the food to representatives from senior centers, soup kitchens and neighborhoods still trying to recover.
National Grid also handed out carbon monoxide detectors and blankets to the hardest hit communities.
