Two suspects on the run after shooting man outside Walgreens in Pelham Bay

Two men are wanted for shooting a man outside of Walgreens on Friday in Pelham Bay.

Police say the 26-year-old victim sustained a gunshot wound to his left leg at 1731 Crosby Ave.

Witnesses told News 12 they heard at least two gunshots. They also describe seeing the man run and fall to the ground after the bullet struck him.

Police say the victim was hospitalized for non-life-threatening injuries.

The events leading to the shooting are unclear.

Police say the suspects ran away from the scene toward Roberts Avenue.

One suspect was described as wearing a blue shirt. The other was said to be wearing a camouflage durag during the time of the shooting.

The Walgreens Pharmacy did close temporarily after the shooting.
