Two workers were taken to the hospital Tuesday after being pulled to safety following a construction site accident.

The workers were trapped for more than an hour under debris from a wall collapse until firefighters and rescue workers were able to get them out. The incident happened around 10:30 a.m. at 145 11th Street.

Five firefighters were injured. The two workers are in stable condition. All are at Lutheran Hospital.
