Residents are stunned and angry after anti-Semitic and anti-gay messages were found scrawled on the Holocaust memorial in Sheepshead Bay.
Police say they're investigating the vandalism as a possible hate crime. The vandalism took place amid controversy about plans to inscribe stones at the park for Holocaust victims who were gay.
The New York City Department of Parks and Recreation says the incident will not stop efforts to go forward with that plan.
