Victor Mooney, a Brooklyn man rowing across the Atlantic Ocean from Africa, was towed the last 20 miles to the shore of Saint Martin.
Mooney has reportedly lost 80 pounds so far after traveling nearly 3,000 miles by rowboat in honor of his brother, who died of AIDS. He says he hopes to promote voluntary HIV testing.
A spokesman for Mooney says he plans to continue the journey after some "much needed rest."
This is Mooney's fourth attempt to cross the ocean.
