Security guards at Kings Plaza Mall are in hot water over cellphone video allegedly showing them punching two teens and throwing them onto the ground.
The incident took place Sunday at around 4:30 p.m. The video appears to show security guards punching the men numerous times.
Community advocate Tony Herbert says one of the teens in the video is 16-year-old Christopher Henry, who has previously been involved in fights at the mall. However, Herbert says the security guard's force was excessive and should not have happened.
A spokesperson for the King Plaza Shopping Center says they are cooperating with law enforcement and AlliedBarton Security Services, which employs the security officers involved. They say the incident will be fully investigated so that appropriate action can be taken.
News 12 is told one of the teens is still recovering, but has returned back to school.
